The severe climatic changes due to the so-called global warming are getting closer, because what seemed distant and that seemed impossible to happen has already begun to manifest itself through high temperatures and water scarcity in different parts of the world.

Faced with the climate crisis that is being experienced in different countries, the media have taken it upon themselves to interview climate experts so that they can provide some advice to citizens on how to care for and postpone the deterioration of the planet.

This is how a couple of television hosts went viral by joking and trying to lighten the information provided by a climate expert during an interview due to the strong heat wave that is being experienced in the United Kingdom and Europe.

The viral video emerged in a section of the British morning program GB News, in which the host, Bev Turner, seems to recreate that famous scene from the movie Don’t Look Upin which Jennifer Lawrence’s character is ignored by a TV host, only this time it was climate expert John Hammond.

Starting the conversation with a joke about “enjoying the sun”, the British presenters began to discuss with the climate expert about the worrying heat wave that has occurred in the United Kingdom, which broke a record in London by reaching a temperature of more than of 40 degrees Celsius.

Now we are enjoying ourselves, but when we reach 40° C I think there will be hundreds, if not thousands, of deaths. We all love warm weather, but this is going to be potentially lethal weather. It will be short but brutal.

While the expert explained how complicated the situation would become with the high temperatures, he was interrupted by Bev, who, with the optimistic phrase “I want us to be happy with the weather”, tried to lighten the delicate situation in which face.

I wonder what happened to meteorologists to turn them all into doomsayers and harbingers of destruction. In all the broadcasts, whenever someone talks about the weather I hear that there will be hundreds of deaths, but haven’t we always had warm weather?

The interview of that segment of the newscast soon went viral on networks, where users could not help but compare the situation with the peculiar scene of the movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio. While the television host was harshly criticized for taking the sensitivity of the subject lightly.

After the worldwide fame that the video has brought to the television host, obtaining more than 20 million views on Twitter alone, in an interview, Bev Turner said that more discussion on the subject is needed, since it would be good to put an end to the collective psychosis that these types of topics generate in people.
