Justice League director Zack Snyder publicly responds to Rolling Stone’s harsh reporting and calls for revenge.

As we have published this morning, Rolling Stone magazine has published an article in which it revealed various controversial information about the Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The actor Ray Fisher, Cyborg in the DC Extended Universehas described it as a “hit piece”, reviling the publication.

The Rolling Stone report included a report about a significant part of the fan base of Zack Snyder and its movement through the director’s cut. Reports maintain that he relied on 13% of users who were fake accounts on social networks. In short, they used bots.

Rolling Stone journalists discovered that a digital marketing consultant named Xavier Lanes was listed at one point as the creator of the “forsnydercut” website. We are talking about one of the banners of the movement in favor of Zack Snyder.

What has happened to Xavier Lannes?

As of today, Xavier Lannes is no longer part of that website. However, in his LinkedIn identify him as the executive director of My Ad Agency. It is a digital advertising company based in Los Angeles. While the company’s website is no longer active, an archived version of the site revealed that its services included “instant and cheap traffic to your website“. That is, they sold bots.

They also said the following:We use the latest technology concentrated in the palm of your client’s hand to grow their business beyond their wildest dreams!Zack Snyder, for his part, has denied knowing Xavier Lannes or ever having engaged his services. Xavier Lannes himself has not responded to Rolling Stone magazine’s request for comment.

The publication has also shared that almost all the people they interviewed (very important sources, according to them) believe that Ray Fisher worked together with Zack Snyder to create those viral social media appeals after the lawsuits. The filmmaker himself described these accusations as “flatly false“. On the other hand, Ray Fisher refused to make any statements. But he later he has responded through Twitter.

The director has responded 24 hours later

As for the claims that adam wingarddirector of Godzilla vs Kong, asked Zack Snyder to mediate to avoid a boycott of his film by his fans and he flatly refused… The filmmaker stated that he was never asked to do such a thing. “Also, I don’t control my fans“, he added. “They have their own will and their opinions. Actually, you give me too much credit“.

“As an artist, it was gratifying to finally see my vision realized after such a difficult time in my life and to have it be so well received. I am grateful to both the fan community and Warner Bros. for allowing this to happen. Dwelling on negativity and rumors doesn’t do anyone any good… If this is an honest article, I hope all the good work the fandom has done, including donations, is represented in it.”

A day after the publication of the article, Zack Snyder has gone to his profile in Vero to publish an image in response with the following text: “If I advance, follow me; if I go back, kill me; if i die, avenge me“.
