New heat wave (it doesn’t matter when you read this) and Wednesdays are still synonymous with taking a look at what we are finding on streaming platforms. So, one more week we are going to review the 81 series, movies and documentaries that premiere today Netflix, HBO Max, Disney +, Amazon Prime Video, Filmin and Movistar Plus +.

directed by Loren Bouchard and Bernard Derriman

The magnificent animated series jumps to the movie format with a new adventure for the Belchers, who encounter an unforeseen event that threatens to close the burger joint once and for all.

directed by Hannah Marks | Distribution: John Cho and Mia Isaac

A dramedy that takes us on the cross-country journey of a single father who, after discovering that he is terminally ill, decides to take his teenage daughter on the road to try and find her mother.

Created by Nathan Fielder

Small experimental docuseries in which Nathan Fielder explores how far an ordinary man can go to reduce uncertainties by rehearsing some of the most important moments through simulations.

directed by Carrie Cracknell | Distribution: Dakota Johnson, Cosmo Jarvi, Nikki Amuka-Bird, etc.

Adaptation of the homonymous novel by Jane Austen in which a young woman is reunited with an old suitor, who convinced her to reject him.

Created by Andrew Dabb | Distribution: Lance Reddick, Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, etc.

New adaptation of the franchise in which we explore the “past” (2022) and “present” (2038) through the story of Jade, daughter of Albert Wesker, who is being persecuted by the Umbrella Corporation.

Four years is a long time and in that sense Donald Glover and company decide not to make it easy for us when it comes to re-entering the adventures of their characters. Which does not mean that the series has fallen from its excellence, not at all. And it is that the series continues digging and observing its themes in such a way that it requires more than one viewing to assume the multiple layers of what they tell us in their usual tone between satire and realism.

Recommended by Albertini | Premiere Wednesday on Disney+

‘Bob’s Burgers The Movie’
