Before Hugh Jackman made history in the X-Men saga, these actors were in contention to bring Wolverine to life on film.<\/h2>\n
We know, nowadays it’s hard to imagine someone giving life to Wolverines<\/strong> on the big screen other than Hugh Jackman<\/strong>. Since his appearance in the first film of X Men<\/strong> (2000) until his farewell in Logan<\/strong> (2017), the Australian actor proudly wore the claws of the mutant and made the character one of the most popular of the marvel universe<\/strong>. Therefore, it might surprise many that Jackman was not the first candidate proposed by the defunct 20th Century Fox<\/strong> to join the team made up of the teacher Charles Xavier<\/strong>. In fact, before him there were some actors who were even offered contracts to play Wolverines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Which actors were considered to play Wolverine?<\/h2>\n

Russell Crowe<\/h3>\n
The actor Russell Crowe<\/strong> was the first choice Bryan Singer<\/strong> to interpret to Wolverines<\/strong>. However, the Australian did not feel comfortable with the idea of \u200b\u200bpigeonholing himself within the action hero figure. The reason? He had just finished filming Gladiator<\/strong>ribbon Ridley Scott<\/strong> where he played Maximus Decimus Meridus.<\/p>\n
