While it’s unlikely that any upcoming Marvel Studios movies will see Scarlett Johansson return as Black Widow, the Oscar nominee will be working with La Casa de las Ideas.

SMASH reported to you that Scarlett Johansson confirmed that her stage as Black Widow came to an end in 2021 and the actress reiterates that she will not return with this role to a new MCU tape.

“I’ve finished. That chapter is over. I did everything I had to do. Of course, playing a character like that again and again, for more than a decade, is a unique experience.”.

However, that is not the end of the relationship between the actress and Marvel Studios, since Johansson will produce an MCU movie, although the project is unknown.

Marvel Studios

In an interview with comicbook, Johansson, who joined Marvel in 2011, reiterated that this new movie is already in development, but the writers’ strike in Hollywood has forced all progress to stop.

“It’s still running, but not right now. We’re all in a kind of limbo as we wait out the writers’ strike and potentially our own actors’ strike.“.

This is not the only production affected by the WGA strike. Marvel Studios recently announced that they have changed the release dates of their upcoming projects.
