Here are the latest updates on the expected new chapters of the story based on the member of the Addams family.<\/p>\n<h2>Jenna Ortega reveals important changes for the second season of &#8216;Merlina&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>Merlina Addams&#8217; adventures are far from over.  The Netflix series became one of the most popular shows of all time, and now there are more on the way.<\/p>\n<p>The second season has already been confirmed, and Jenna Ortega gave a taste of things to come during her Variety Actors on Actors interview with Elle Fanning on June 7.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\" data-align-center=\"\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<p>\n    <iframe title=\"Merlina | Anuncio de la temporada\u00a02 | Netflix\" width=\"788\" height=\"443\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/S7H9y3oXJcw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The actress revealed that the second season of Merlina will be much darker and scarier than the first season.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\" data-align-center=\"\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<div class=\"Quote\" style=\"--color-quote-background: #fff;\">\n<div class=\"Quote-content\">\n<blockquote><p>\u201cJust received a couple of schematics for the first two episodes.  So it&#8217;s still coming together a lot,\u201d she said.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The actress also revealed that Merlina&#8217;s love life will not have many changes:<\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\" data-align-center=\"\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<div class=\"Quote\" style=\"--color-quote-background: #fff;\">\n<div class=\"Quote-content\">\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe have had many conversations and we have decided things that we want to improve and go a little deeper.  I think we want to lean more on the horror aspect of the show because it&#8217;s so lighthearted.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>I think we&#8217;re ruling out any romantic love interest for Merlina, which is great.  And then, too, we have amazing female leads on the show.  I think we are going to be much bolder.  Much darker.<\/p>\n<h2>Jenna Ortega will be a producer of Merlina<\/h2>\n<p>But that&#8217;s not all, Jenna&#8217;s role will also change within the production of the program, since she will no longer only be the main actress, she will also have a new role as producer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\" data-align-center=\"\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<div class=\"Quote\" style=\"--color-quote-background: #fff;\">\n<div class=\"Quote-content\">\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI feel very, very lucky to be a producer this time.  I think a project is better when there are as many voices and ideas as possible.
