The Mexican regional singer Lupillo Rivera was a guest with his counterpart Gerardo Ortiz in the program Youtube ‘Pinky Promise’ a while ago. There he confessed that it was necessity that led Chiquis Rivera’s uncle to sing and he even confessed what he was earning at that time.

‘Yes, it was hunger, because I was wanting to see how they paid for water, how they paid for electricity. So when I started going to restaurants that charged $3 dollars a song, then I collected $25, $30 dollars a night and then I said: “I already paid for the water.” And one would arrive at the house, be old, pay the electricity or pay the water and there,’ said the brother of Jenni Rivera and ex of mayeli alonso about his hard beginnings.
