Both have several years of Gilead experience as co-executive producers and writers.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 2 --> <\/p>\n<div class=\"article-asset article-asset-normal article-asset-center\">\n<div class=\"desvio-container\">\n<div class=\"desvio\">\n<div class=\"desvio-figure js-desvio-figure\">\n<p>     <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Miller <strong>has been in charge of &#8216;The Handmaid&#8217;s Tale&#8217; since its very beginning<\/strong> and, despite his layoff, he has written a couple of episodes for this latest season.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 3 --><\/p>\n<h2>Prioritize &#8216;The Wills&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>The reason for these changes is quite clear: <strong>Miller has been overtaken<\/strong> and he has preferred to focus all his efforts on developing &#8216;The Testaments&#8217;, the adaptation of the kind of sequel written by Margaret Atwood.  A book that takes place a few years after the original novel and that shows us the panorama of Gilead (and Canada) at that time.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 4 --><\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, there are no other important changes in the final season of &#8216;The Handmaid&#8217;s Tale&#8217; at the moment.  The season five finale saw June (Elisabeth Moss) and Serena (Yvonne Strahovsky) escaping increasingly hostile Toronto aboard the same train.
