From Netflix<\/strong> have decided that the time has come to put an end to ‘You’, for which they have announced its renewal a season 5 that will also be the last of the series<\/strong>. Zero surprises with this, because even Penn Badgley<\/strong> he had hinted that the time was coming to close the Joe Goldberg story.<\/p>\n

What is even more surprising is the decision to change showrunners right for the final season, since Sera Gamble<\/strong>one of the creators of ‘You’, gets off the boat and they will share that position now Michael Foley and Justin W.Lo<\/strong>. Both had previously served as executive producers, although Lo had also written seven episodes of the series. It’s still historical that such a change should take place right now, but hey, let’s hope that ‘You’ doesn’t suffer for it.<\/p>\n

Gamble has clarified that he is leaving his duties as showrunner to focus on new projects and that “I am proud of what we have all accomplished and feel privileged to pass the baton. From Netflix they already promote the fifth season with the question of if doomsday will ever come for Joe Goldberg<\/strong>. The last we heard from him is that he was in a more privileged position than ever, which may make him overconfident and everything fall apart. Now we will have to wait a bit to find out, because at least until 2024 we will not see this fifth and final season.<\/p>\n
