Doing the weekly shopping has become, for many families, a risky adventure. And it is that some supermarkets have raised their prices so much that even baby food jars have gone from costing 90 cents to costing two euros in some of them. So it is not surprising that we are all on the lookout for tricks to buy cheaper even in times of inflation.

That is why we cannot like the initiative that Lidl has launched more. In the purest “Too Good To Go” style and other apps that sell food that is about to go too far, but edible, for much less, the supermarket company has created a way for us to do the weekly shopping for vegetables and fruit for three euros while reducing waste.

For this, every day They put on sale some bags called “anti-waste bag” in which they include fresh products (fruit and vegetables) that they can no longer put up for normal sale, because they are about to go too far, but which are still suitable for consumption. The cost of the bag is three euros and what is included varies in each bag and each day, depending on the product they have to pick up.

Each bag costs three euros and they are usually very full. Without going any further, in networks we have been able to see bags containing two packages of strawberries, two trays of mushrooms, a tray of leeks and half a dozen artichokes. Another example is a bag with half a dozen apples, two lettuces, two packs of hearts, one zucchini, two bunches of spring onions, four eggplants and one mango.

The only trick is that, to get yours, you have to get up a little early since the bags go on sale at nine in the morning and, obviously, there is a limit of bags until the end of stock. Of course, we have been able to see people on networks who have gone at 11 in the morning and, even so, have still managed to find something. In any case, our recommendation is to go early to have options to choose from and that the weekly purchase is much cheaper.
