To reinforce his answer, he gives the example of “Fable”, a role-playing video game in which you decide if your character is good or bad based on the decisions you make. “Guess what kind of character I am,” she says with an infectious laugh that’s instantly reminiscent of Billy Batson, the teen-turned- Shazam.

There is a part of Shazam and Baston that Zachary takes off the set and the screen: he also wants to save the world, because he is terrified of what is happening on the planet, but it calms him down a bit to see that more and more people want to help and that they are converting in leader. For him, this is how we can relieve the planet, with people with hearts. “That’s what I want to do in real life,” he says.

the universal symptom

in the trailer for Shazam!: the fury of the gods, the second film in this franchise, sees the character played by Levi questioning himself in depth and comparing himself with other superheroes in the Marvel Universe that are much more popular than him, with more ground traveled and, even, with the ability to save the world. Those same insecurities could be compared to those of beginning actors and Zachary knows a lot about that.

“It’s not just for beginners, actors of all levels of success feel this way. And not just actors, I think it happens in all professions. It’s the impostor syndrome. Clinically speaking, it’s when you compare yourself to other people and feel like a failure. This is how we fall into these spirals of depression and anxiety, until sooner or later someone finds out and tells you that you are wrong and that you joined a group that is too small for you, “reflects Levi.

We all feel that way inside, even from time to time. We just have to be aware of that to love each other a little more when it happens. You have to do it immediately, ”she reflects. Of course, Zachary is aware that he is not the best actor in Hollywood, but that does not change things or, as he himself says, does it create frustration. “My world exists because I exist”, he adds while he remembers that when he was younger he felt that insecurity that led him to compare himself all the time.

Today, however, he confesses that at the age of 42 he has taken a lot of therapy. “I have been acting for 24 years, but I swear that when I started I knew nothing. “I was Billy’s age in this movie! I’ve worked so hard on my emotional and mental health over these 24 years that I feel a lot less of an impostor than I did, but that’s not to say there aren’t days I don’t wake up thinking I’m a fraud, that someone is he’s going to find out, he’s going to tell everyone and I’m not going to work anymore,” he says, laughing.
