The AFAD reported that there have been close to 10,000 aftershocks since the earthquake on February 6, causing damage to more than 173,000 buildings and taking the lives of more than 45,000 people.

Although it is not known when the aftershocks or the new earthquakes will stop, the Rescue Corps continues with its work, hoping to save more people from under the rubble. In addition, humanitarian aid is still on and several countries continue to send non-perishable food, blankets and bottled water.
