Although ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ was a lovely return to the roots of ‘Dragon Ball’<\/strong>, the film took quite a beating for its new CGI animation. Still, it also had its moment with traditional animation with an impressive flashback sequence that reminded us of the original confrontations between Goku and the Red Ribbon Army.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n These scenes are impressive and they also left us with the thorn of wondering How would ‘Dragon Ball’ be animated with the means we have today?<\/strong>and it seems that the fans were not the only ones.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n chikashi kubota<\/strong> is a legendary animator and director who has worked on ‘The Girl Who Leapt Through Time’, ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’, ‘One-Punch Man’ and most recently ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n During the Japan Expo Sud 2023 they have interviewed Kubota, and among other things confirmed that the main condition that he put to be animation director in the film was that they let him make a sequence in 2D animation<\/strong>which ended up being the flashback sequence.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Chikashi Kubota revealed he’s interested in working on a Dragon Ball remake if Toei Animation ever decides to do one, he mentioned the same to SH Producer Norihiro Hayashida as well!<\/p>\n Via: @nimation<\/a>Japan Expo Sud 2023 pic.twitter.com\/nmH6kVnFaY<\/a><\/p>\nUpside down if you can<\/h2>\n
