Sometimes, art can surprise us, because, through it, the artist can express his thoughts and emotions in different works that can be impressive to us. Just like a couple of cops who assumed someone needed help.

As reported Peoplethe agents were alerted with a call from a concerned citizen, so they did not hesitate to respond promptly, but when they reached the supposed unconscious woman, they realized that it was a sculpture.

The Laz Emporium art gallery, located in the central Soho neighborhood of London, England, has caused some confusion that has fooled more than one person, but this time things went too far after two agents of the Metropolitan Police from London had to break down the door of the establishment to help a woman who seemed to be in trouble inside the already closed gallery.

However, as soon as the policemen got to where the unconscious woman was, they realized that it was a hyper-realistic sculpture, made with packing tape and padding foam. According to the person in charge of the place, it is about Kristina, the work of the American artist Mark Jenkins.

What is a bit scary, though, is that gallery owner Steve Lazarides commissioned this work from the artist to remember his sister, who died while eating and was found the way the piece looks.

However, Lazarides is aware of the reaction that this work provokes in people and even seems to enjoy it.

It’s there to make people smile or horrify, to provoke a reaction and get people’s attention. People always stop and watch the play and it’s great because they stay and walk into the store.
