Harrison Ford<\/strong> returns for the last time the mythical character of Indiana Jones in ‘The Dial of Fate’, without a doubt one of the most anticipated films of 2023. However, some viewers will still be thinking about the disappointment that was for them ‘The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ and now the veteran actor has responded to the criticism received by the fifth installment, and it only took him 15 years to do so.<\/p>\n

The actor has recalled ‘Indiana Jones 5’ in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in which he acknowledges that they may not have had the success they expected with it and admits that “everyone has the right to an opinion<\/em>but also points out that the critics may have been too hard on her<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

“Maybe it wasn’t as successful as we wanted.<\/em>“<\/h2>\n

The critics were hard on her, but what do they do now? I understand. But those were her rules, not those of director Steven Spielberg and co-writer George Lucas. They imposed their rules on what the film should be. I do not think it is necessary to address those issues. I think everyone has a right to an opinion. Maybe the movie wasn’t as successful as we wanted it to be. But it didn’t create an attitude or behavior that carried over into this movie.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ford refers to that last sentence about the jokes about the advanced age of the character<\/strong>, revealing that this has been completely removed for the fifth installment. The initial plan did have a lot of humor along these lines, but the actor confesses that he felt more comfortable going into that subject in another way:<\/p>\n

In ‘Dial of Fate’ there were a lot of jokes about old people in the script. We remove them all. There’s a moment when he looks at himself in this situation and says, ‘What the hell am I doing here? But I hate what I call ‘history talk’. I want to see circumstances where audiences get a chance to experience the story, not be led around by the nose pointing out the highlights. I’d rather create behavior that is the joke of the age than talk about it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To check it, we will have to wait until the June 30th<\/strong>date chosen by Disney for the theatrical release of ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate’.<\/p>\n
