Mexico is homeland and every Mexican, a brother. If they touch Mexico, they touch us

“We are very sorry for the situation that has been generated from the tweets published by Federico Zapata. His statements do not reflect our values, our feelings, our love for Mexico and its people. Given this situation, we announce the DISCONNECTION of this member’s band since his statements, full of violence, do not represent us. If one of us thinks like this, he is no longer one of us. Our goal has always been, is and will be to sow joy and love. Mexico is a homeland and every Mexican, a brother. If they touch Mexico, they touch us,” the group’s statement said.

The anger began with a comment from Paco Villa, an analyst and sports commentator, who published a message via Twitter in which he criticized the Argentine goalkeeper, “Dibu” Martínez. Villa described the “Gold Glove”-winning goalkeeper as a braggart, as well as assuring that he is the most despicable competitor.

After this position, Fede Zapata, now an extrombonist for Los Caligaris, answered the Mexican communicator in a rude and contemptuous way, inviting Mexico to deal with new sports, since the best soccer players who play in Mexican territory are foreigners.

A few hours later, Federico Zapata apologized, but it was all over for him.

“Apologies to all the people who felt offended by an unfortunate comment on my part, it was not my intention to go against a town that has given me so much joy and so many beautiful experiences, do not involve the band because they do not tell me that write…”, he pointed out on social networks.

The audience was on fire and they put an end to the people from Cordoba, pointing out that Mexico is one of the markets that schedules the most dates to see them perform and all its economic implications for the band. Among the demands was to remove them from the Vive Latino 2023 cartel, of which the South Americans are part for the next edition in Mexico City.
