As we eagerly await the return of ‘Stranger Things’ with its season 5 and finale to Netflix, little by little we are having a little idea<\/strong> what awaits the boys from Hawkins in their fight against the dark forces of the Other Side or upside down.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

If a few weeks ago we learned the title of the first episode, within the framework of the WGFestival 2022, the Duffer brothers have shared that this final season will connect with the previous ones<\/strong>. Only in a way we didn’t expect.<\/p>\n

The key, in season 2<\/h2>\n

Although they did not want to be specific, it seems that the key lies in the second season of the series, broadcast back in 2017. In the words of Ross Duffer, the main idea for season 5 has its seed in the process of creating said season<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cThe success of season 1 blew us away and we knew we needed to build a bigger world, that it was going to be on. But it was too much [cinco veces] more ideas than we needed, or [diez]. For season 5 we’re pulling a lot of those big ideas from season 2…a lot of our big finale has been pulled from things I thought were going to be in season 2.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This Season 2, let’s remember, revolved around the arrival of the Mind Fender as we explored both Will’s connection to The Other Side and Eleven’s past<\/strong> in the laboratory where she was confined.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Thus, we would have in ‘Stranger Things 5’ a kind of “recycling” of what they failed to capture<\/strong> for those episodes or for things that were, but perhaps left undeveloped.<\/p>\n

Some ideas that have been reviewed over and over again. Circumstances (aka COVID) meant that this final season was almost completely designed before shooting season 4 and, once the feedback from these past episodes was received, decided to review their ideas again<\/strong>. As Matt Duffer explains:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe reread the document. We were like “That’s cool, that’s cool. That could be so much better. This could be so much better.” Even the ending is something different [ahora]. A lot of great ideas are the same, but what happens to them is very different.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

for now Little else we know about this last season<\/strong> except that it will be shorter than the previous one and that, surely, we will not see it until 2024.<\/p>\n
