The Mexican presenter Facundo, who is part of the TelevisaUnivision work team at the World Cup in Qatar, recently visited the other side of the Arab country, the one that is lived and suffered by soccer fans who did not have large resources to pay for a better accommodation.
Although Qatar has accustomed us to its large skyscrapers and avant-garde cities full of luxuries, not everything is rosy in Doha, as there are some football fans who had to settle for sleeping in real containers or in tents.
Through a video, lasting less than four minutes, the comedian also had the opportunity to talk with some Latino fans, who, for the most part, were disappointed with their accommodation.
“It’s quite an experience,” replied a Mexican fan, while an Argentine fan did not beat around the bush and explained what was really lived there “It’s the only thing we went to the fourth world,” said the follower. Another Mexican also disapproved of the experience: “He was down. He smelled urine from the container, the shower completely covered, the bathroom flooded, ”he accused.
After listening to the complaints of Latin American fans, Facundo decided to check them out for himself and got to know one of the famous and much-criticized containers.
From what you could notice, some of the rooms are equipped with two single beds, a full bathroom, air conditioning, a fan, a fridge, and a closet.
“The bed is hard, the net, but for two people it is not so bad,” said Facundo.
Fans who were able reserved there, for a minimal cost. $200 dollars a nightThey narrated that they were sold something totally different from what they got, since what was seen in the promotional images, their comforts seemed comparable to those of a four-star hotel.
In addition to the containers, other fans stayed in some tents for which they paid $250 dollars a night and their experience was even worse, because in their bedrooms there was no bathroom, no air conditioning, only two beds, a night bed, a mirror and stop telling.
“Pay $54,000 pesos for 11 days. Horrible, horrible. $250 dollars a night. Minimal yes I expected air conditioning. He has a fan, he has a fan. My family tells me: ‘Mijo, you would have taken my tent to rent it,’ ”accused a Mexican fan, who said he was very disappointed with his accommodation.
