the cuban actor William Levycurrently resides in the United States, but he knew how to live until he was 15 years old in Cuba, a place where he had many deprivations, but even so he did not stop being happy.
The actor from “Café con aroma a mujer” gave an interview to GQ Spain magazine and began by clarifying: “My childhood was very nice, even though we had nothing“. Then, he talked about how communism is lived in his native country.
“We lived under the direction of a government that fed us what it wanted. They think everyone is the same, but I don’t. I believe that we are all different. If you want to eat salad and I want chicken, we should have that right.”

Regarding his profession, he knew what he wanted to be from a very young age. “From Cuba, interpretation already called me a lot”he said, to later add: “Since I left Cuba at the age of 15, I am a person who does not stay in the comfort zone. I’m changing all the time, and if I don’t, I feel like I’m stuck, and I don’t like it.”
William Levy is a very believing person, and this is why God was not left out of the conversation.
“I have always thanked God for growing up like this, because that gives me the opportunity to enjoy everything to the fullest. To be able to eat and enjoy food to the fullest, to dress and enjoy clothes to the fullest. To be able to choose. To have the freedom to do what I want, to express myself, to be who I am.”

“I have a glass of wine and I sit down to compile all my past, where I come from, where I am. If I think I’m having a bad time, I remember how bad I had in Cuba. I always come back to those emotions.”
