Whether or not you were old enough, I can almost assure you that you know who Paco Stanley was and how that attack in which he lost his life happened. Twenty-four years have passed since that morning when the television host was murdered outside the El Charco de las Ranas taco shop, on the Periférico side, but he feels like it was yesterday, especially because of the intrigue that has generated since then. Did you know that there is not a single person imprisoned for the case? How can that be?
These questions, and many more, seeks to answer a new series that will premiere tonight on the stars, at the end of the nightly newscast, titled “El Show. Chronicle of a Murder”. It is a documentary like you have never seen, that is to say, with great research work and at the same time a rhythm that will have you on the edge of your seat taking you from 1999 to date and back, to try to connect the dots to understand what really happened.
The producer of the documentary is N+ Docs, which is part of N+, formerly Noticieros Televisa, so its filmmakers had access to countless material from the time that will lead audiences to relive “how cute I am, how beautiful I am, how I feel.” I want, ah, ah, ah, ah” in the voice of Stanley himself, or the classic “gallinazo” by Mario Bezares, his dumbbell on the forum.
It will be a program for all generations. It is ironic because although practically every Mexican knows who Paco Stanley was, too many questions remained in the air.
