‘El Rebaño Sagrado’ defeated the Águilas in the second leg of the semifinals with goals from Ronald Cisneros at 19′, Alan Mozo at 76′ and Jesús Orozco at 88′.
In the second leg, Guadalajara took the lead after 19 minutes when Cisneros scored inside the area after eluding the goalkeeper and a defender after receiving a pass from Roberto Alvarado.
América, for its part, tied at minute 57 when Chilean Diego Valdés headed in a cross sent by Spanish Álvaro Fidalgo, who was sent off at 63′ for committing a foul on Fernando Beltrán.
Chivas retook the lead at 75′ with a shot by Mozo from outside the area, and the third goal came from Orozco, who headed in a cross sent from the right sector.
