The time to return to Ravka draws near. We finally have a first trailer for season 2 of ‘Shadow and Bone’, the adaptation of the world created by Leigh Bardugo, which has been a bit hard to come by and brings back old acquaintances and new additions.
No tears, no funerals
‘Shadow and Bone’ was a pleasant surprise for Netflix last year. Season 1 was well received on the platform, guaranteeing its continuity in a second season to follow this story about a fantasy world where Alina, a young orphaned cartographer, reveals herself as the Summoner of the Sun, the only one capable of ending the Shade.
‘Shadow and Bone’ is the adaptation of several novels from the ‘Grishaverse’ by Leigh Bardugo. Specifically, the main plot takes the homonymous trilogy as its central axis and integrates the characters of the ‘Six of Crows’ bilogy, whose history in the novels is chronologically later but in the series they are simultaneous.
The trailer is very short but it gives us a first glimpse of some of the plots that we will be able to see in this season: Alina and Mal fleeing from the Dark One, who does not intend to let her go, Kaz and the others involved in some trouble (hopefully it is about “that robbery”) and also characters that we had not seen in the previous season, like Nikolai, Wylan, Tamar and Tolya.
come back Jessie MeiLi like Aline, ben barnes like the dark one, Archie Reynoux (Wrong), freddy carter (kaze), amita suman (Inej), Kit Young (Jesper), Danielle Galligan (Little girl), Calahan Skogman (Mattias) and Sujaya Dasgupta (Zoya).
At the moment, not much more is known about season 2 of ‘Shadow and Bone’, which does not yet have a release date, although will hit the platform in 2023.
