More than twenty years after its theatrical release, the stupendous sci-fi comedy ‘heroes out of orbit‘ (Galaxy Quest) prepares its long-awaited return. On this occasion, Paramount+ is in charge of bringing to the screen the stellar adventures of the “abductee” cast of a Star Trek-type series.
At the moment there are no details about this new fiction, which is produced by Paramount Television and Mark Johnson, producer of the 1999 film, starring, among others, Tim Allen, Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver.
It is not the first time that there is talk of the return of ‘Heroes out of orbit’ since a sequel was raised years ago, which would have a script written practically from the premiere of the film. Also, in the middle of the last decade Paramount was interested in making a series (with Amazon as partners).

However, the death in 2016 of Alan Rickman disrupted plans to continue with the sequel since, as confirmed by Tim Allen, the actor had a very important part in the new adventure. On the other hand, we don’t know if this series will be a sequel or a reboot/remake… but we hope they keep the spirit of the original.
