I have to admit that I am quite curious to see how they come out of this adaptation. Showtime has announced that it will premiere ‘Let the Right One In‘, a remake of one of the jewels of vampire cinema of the 21st century, the October 7 on VOD (the 9 on the channel). Along with the date we have a first and captivating teaser trailer.
Inspired by the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist and subsequent adaptation by Tomas Alfredson, which came here as ‘Let me in’, the series tells the life of a father and his daughter Eleanor, turned into a vampire ten years ago. Imprisoned in a body of twelve years, the girl lives locked up only being able to go out at night, while her father does his best to feed her with human blood so that she can stay alive.

Demian Bichir and Madison Taylor Baez embody Mark, the father, and Eleanor, the daughter, leading a cast that is completed with Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Kevin CarrollIan Foreman, Jacob Buster and Nick Stahl, among others.
Andrew Hinderaker, who has worked on ‘Penny Dreadful’ but also as creator of ‘Away’, is ultimately responsible for this television adaptation. Secondly, Seith Mann is in charge of directing the pilot and several more episodes. The series has ten chapters and in Spain it has not yet been announced by Movistar Plus +.
It is not the first remake of ‘Let me in’, two years after the release of the Swedish film, Matt Reeves made a new movie under the original version title of ‘Let Me In’.
