Black Panther: Wakanda Forever rises with five Oscar nominations for the best of 2022, highlighting Angela Basset in the category of Best Supporting Actress
Once again Ryan Coogler made history with a Marvel Studios movie, by making Black Panther: Wakanda Forever appear again at the Oscars, having five nominations for the next Oscars.

The most outstanding category to which the most recent Marvel Studios production is considered is the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, with Angela Basset, who plays Queen Ramonda.

Basset also makes history within Marvel Studios by earning the first actress nomination for the House of Ideas films.

And the fifth category to which a statuette aspires for the second Black Panther film is Best Makeup and Hairstyle, with the work of Camille Friend and Joel Harlow.
Despite the five nominations, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was two nominations below its predecessor, Black Panther, which in 2019 received seven Oscar nominations, of which it won three awards.
The Oscars ceremony will take place on March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
