“Mexico is a very important market for watchmaking within Latin America. The customers we find here are very consistent with the brand and know it deeply. They look for things that other people probably don’t notice and also appreciate, be it movements, design, craftsmanship or originality,” said Alexander Schmiedt, president of the brand’s Americas, when delving into the reasons that led the brand to make this decision. “We have a very selective distribution strategy and we believe that less is more. Our main goal beyond selling watches is to enable watch lovers to enjoy the Vacheron Constantin experience,” he added.
The boutique is dominated by the Maltese cross, which is the symbol of the house and the color red. The space was conceived to receive lovers of haute horlogerie and will allow followers of the brand to choose in the greatest privacy their favorite pieces from flagship collections such as Patrimony, Traditionnelle, Overseas and Fiftysix, as well as women’s pieces from the Égérie collection. “We have a spectacular selection of pieces in this boutique. For example, there is a highly complicated piece, the Traditionnelle Tourbillon Single-Push Chronograph; we have incredible perpetual calendars for men like the Patrimony Perpetual Calendar with a blue dial – a watch that I hadn’t seen in person for months; pieces like the Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar for women and some others like the American 1921, one of the brand’s most iconic watches that today is very difficult to find in boutiques”, explained Schmiedt.
