The soap opera around Jonathan Majors does not stop growing and growing, and in fact in the last few hours a new chapter has opened. He actor has become a big hot potato and all eyes have suddenly turned to Marvel, due to his role as Kang in the MCU.
And it is that his character is the fundamental piece for the road to the fifth Avengers movie, entitled ‘The Kang Dynasty‘. After debuting in the final stretch of ‘Loki’ as “The One Who Remains” and already as Kang 100% in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ the fandom is waiting what will happen with the character.
The Majors case has complicated things greatly and even after being abandoned by his representative, Marvel is walking on lead feet to see how to proceed. At the moment (at the time I am writing these lines at least) it seems that the study keep counting on him to play Kang. However, it is the villain’s complex timeline that makes “plot” sense to not have the actor.
The diplomatic route with a “soft” change of actor

In fact, Marvel Studios has an easy solution on their hands. Not using an adult Kang but an adolescent Kang… and here would come a supergroup whose majority of members have been introduced, in one way or another, into the MCU: the young avengers.
One of the best ideas (if not the best) that came out of the ‘Avengers: Disunited‘, the Brian Michael Bendis saga that turned the Marvel supergroup upside down did not come from the screenwriter, but from Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung. After the catastrophic dissolution of the group led by Captain America, Iron Man and company, a group of teenagers and geek fans of superheroes would establish themselves as his successors.
These would be Wiccan, Hulkling, Patriot and Iron Lad, to which Stature should be added (Cassie Lang) Hawk Eye (Kate Bishop) and Fast. We soon discover that in some way or another they are all related to “adults”. For example, Wiccan and Veloz are the alleged “magical” children of Wanda Maximoff or Iron Lad who has a relationship with one of the great Avengers villains: Kang.
Or, to be correct, is a teenage version of Kang who, horrified to see what he will become when visited by his adult self, decides to travel to the past with the technology that he has given him and ask the Avengers for help. After seeing that they no longer exist, he will come across a recruitment program created by Vision and that would allow him to create these Young Avengers.
As you see, quite an interesting option not only to propose an excuse to change the actor of Majors, at least temporarily, but also so that some of the characters that we have already seen in series and movies come together to create their own group.
