Anyone would think that working with Ryan Reynolds is worthy of being considered a lucky person, since the Canadian actor is one of the few Hollywood stars who radiate unparalleled kindness and charisma, something that his wide circle of friends within the industry seems to confirm.
An example of this is Hugh Jackman, with whom Reynolds proved to have a great friendship after recently announcing, in a funny video, that the Australian actor will join the cast of the third installment of dead pool.
However, it seems that not everyone has Reynolds in the same concept or at least not TJ Miller, who played Weasel in the first two movies of the Marvel superhero.
So much so that during an interview for the podcast The Adam Carolla Show, while promoting his new special of stand up, Dear Jonah, the controversial actor and comedian revealed that he has no interest in returning to Dead Pool 3 or work with Ryan Reynolds again, even if he was asked to do so after the two had an “unpleasant moment” during the filming of Dead Pool 2.
I got along much better with him in the first ‘Deadpool’ because he wasn’t a big movie star. Would you work with him again? No. But I also said that he would not work with Michael Bay again and now we are friends. But Bay is different.
Additionally, Miller, who has been embroiled in various controversies over the years, said he thought his former co-star hated him. He later recalled a time when Reynolds allegedly asked for another chance to belittle him in front of the production team.
[Ryan] and I had a really weird moment on the set of ‘Deadpool 2’ when he asked us to do a take again. After finishing it he referred to me as if I was Weasel, my character. He said to me, ‘You know what’s best about you, Weasel? That you’re not the star but you’re doing just the right thing to be funny so we can keep shooting the movie for real.’
After this “unpleasant moment” on the set, which, according to Miller, left everyone present unanswered, the relationship between the two actors was no longer the same.
Although the comedian did not reveal why his character will no longer appear in the third installment of the film, it is believed that it is because Dead Pool 3 It represents a big change for the franchise now that the character is going to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU, for its acronym in English).
The only thing that Miller confessed was that he would have refused even if the producers offered to pay him double his previous salary to be part of the third installment directed by Shawn Levy.
I wouldn’t do ‘Deadpool 3’ even if they told me: ‘We want you to be in the movie and we pay you double’.
Finally, TJ Miller called Ryan Reynolds “kind of an insecure guy.” However, he put an end to the subject, wishing her well.
Would you work with him again? No. She would not work with him again. In a way, I wish him the best because he’s so good on ‘Deadpool’ and I think it’s weird that he hates me. […] I love him as a comedian, but I think after he became super, super famous since the first ‘Deadpool,’ things changed a little bit. […] I just think he didn’t like me and I didn’t like the way he chose to express it, it was weird.
