From Apple TV + they do not want to do without the most video game offices on television and have announced that we will have a spin-off (or companion series as announced) of ‘Mythic Quest’, the wonderful comedy co-created by and starring Rob McElhenney.
The series, which consists of eight episodes, will have the title of ‘Mere Mortals’ and will explore the lives of the employees, players and fans who are impacted by the video game. The project is in the hands of Ashley BurchRachel in ‘Mythic Quest’ and features John Howell Harris and Katie McElhenney as scriptwriters.
Inspired by the special episodes
According to the platform, this “extension” (I’m not sure exactly what this format is like) is inspired by the “special” and “stand-alone” episodes that ‘Mythic Quest’ usually nails as ‘silent and dark death‘ (1×05), ‘Background!‘ (2×06), the bridge between the first and second season ‘Quarantined’ and ‘Everlight’ and the newly released ‘sarian‘ (3×06).
Which can be quite interesting, especially since these episodes they are worked with a lot of heart and they stand out above the rest of a comedy that, in itself, is magnificent. From Apple TV + they have not announced when we will be able to see this new series, although it is not unreasonable to think that we will be able to taste it as a bridge between seasons 3 and 4 of ‘Mythic Quest’.
