The time has come to say goodbye to one of the mythical series on national television. Although we already knew that ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’ was already on its way to closing, it is now when we begin to know (or is materializing) more specifically the details of how TVE plans to say goodbye to the Alcántara saga.
According to El Confidencial, the RTVE Board of Directors would approve this February the season 23 of the serieswhich would be much shorter (between five and six episodes) and would be released as the culmination of the year during this coming Christmas.
A plan that is somewhat different from that of Ganga, who wanted a full season… or at least 9 or 10 episodes, as reported at the time. However, the negotiation with TVE has led to this kind of short miniseries that would be set at the end of 1994.
Carlitos returns
In addition, these final episodes would feature the return of Ricardo Gomez (whom we just saw in ‘La Ruta’) as Carlitos, seeking a reunion of the character after five years absent. It will not be the only return, since the plan is to have the return of other characters that have marked the series.
On the other hand, as they have been doing in recent seasons, we will continue to have certain glimpses of the present. Not only that, but, as a farewell, the series will give us several flashes of the most outstanding events in the almost thirty years from 1994 to the present day.
Of course, in the absence of official approval by TVE, more details of this final season are yet to be known, which will close ‘Tell me how it happened’ after 23 years on the air and more than 400 episodes.
