On Wednesday, May 24, the world of music mourned the death of the singer Tina Turner, who spent the last years of her life in Switzerland, without forgetting the deep roots she had with the United States, the country that he saw her born, but whose nationality he renounced.
Before moving to live with her last husband in Europe, the Queen of Rock made a prominent career in the American Union, remembering the mansion she had in Los Angeles.
At that time, she lived with Ike Turner, who was her husband and from whom she divorced, in 1978, tired of his constant abuse.
The residence, according to the book ‘Tina Turner: Break Every Rule’, was bought by Ike, in 1964, for about $100,000 dollars, which today translates to about $800,000 dollars.
In 1970 Ike surprised Tina with a total makeover, which he carried out while she was recovering in hospital from tuberculosis.
That was the couple’s home until 1976, when she decided to leave, while Ike sold it, fully furnished, in May 1977, for $115.00 dollars.
The property, which enjoys an extension of 2,964 square feetis made up of four bedrooms and five bathrooms.
It is completed by a kitchen, a dining room, a dining room, a living room, a main room, among other rooms.
Outside their 0.21 acres of land, it has green areas, a swimming pool with a spa area, a fireplace and a terrace.
In December 2016 it was bought for $870,000 dollars, but not to inhabit it, but to modernize it.
In December 2017, it was put up for sale at $1,4448,000 dollars, but it was not until February 2018 that it changed owners for a very similar price.
