Since the death of Andrés García was announced, there are more and more iconic moments starring the actor in his daily life. And it is that just like on the big screen, the famous man enjoyed living experiences that would take him out of his comfort zone.
It was no secret to anyone that the protagonist of stories like “Pedro Navaja” and “Aventuras de Mar y Selva” was a fan of the sea and the species that inhabited it; in fact, this was one of the big reasons why he decided to live in Acapulco for most of his life.
This love for marine fauna led him to adopt an extreme sport unusual for the general public: riding sharks. According to his friend and television partner Rafael Inclán, he revealed that on one occasion he witnessed this great feat of the famous.
“He has lived a very bastard, I saw him ride sharks. Ride sharks! When I was young, the shark would pass by, grab it by the fin, get on and off the other side.“, Said the also actor during an interview in 2022.
Despite his expertise in the area, Andrés García was not exempt from dangerous situations, since on one occasion he admitted that he could have been seriously injured by a shark.
In a chapter of “El consentido de Dios”, a book that he wrote and documented all the times in which he was about to lose his life, he explained that he was close to being attacked by the shark because he slipped off the animal’s back and ripped off a swim fin accordingly.
Fortunately, the experience did not end in tragedy and he was able to continue enjoying this extreme activity despite the recommendations of those close to him.
