One of the biggest headaches of having a pet is find a rental where you are not hassled. The figures are exorbitant: more than 40% of Spaniards have animals and only 4% of rentals allow them. But there is hope, because in this city it is easier to find a flat pet-friendly.
A study by the Affinity Foundation together with Fotocasa has made a map of rentals with pets in Spain and the result is discouraging. Because the city with more options pet-friendly only has 6% availability for dogs or cats and these figures speak of a problem when looking for a house with our best friends.
The community with the most rentals that allow pets in Spain

The community that has the most options for pet owners to live in harmony is Madrid, followed by the Balearic Islands, the Valencian Community and the Canary Islands. All of them have around 6% of rents for dogs or cats, although it is not an exorbitant figure either.
The community with the fewest apartments for rent that allow animals

On the opposite side is Aragonbecause only 1% of their rental apartments allow our pets. Basque Country, Extremadura, Castilla y León and Cantabria They follow closely behind with less than 2% rent pet-friendly.
Things get even more complicated if we increase the magnifying glass and talk about provinces. We already anticipate you, if you are looking for a rental with your dog or cat in Palencia, Ciudad Real, Salamanca or Teruel you will find that less than 1% allow it.
