Brazilian soccer player Dani Alves, 39, will spend tonight and many others inside his cell at the Brians Penitentiary Center, in San Esteban Sasroviras, in Barcelona, Spain, after a young woman accused him of the crime of sexual abuse after an event that occurred on the night of December 30, 2022, inside the bathrooms of an exclusive nightclub.
The prison, whose first part was inaugurated in 1991 and is located on a lot that exceeds 15 acres, initially housed only male inmates, but since 1993 it also has a female population behind bars.
In 2007, the so-called Brians 2 Penitentiary Centerwhich is located right next to it and is made up of 14 residential modules with 72 cells each, that is, they have a total of 1,008 cells with capacity for up to 1,500 inmates.
The serial rapist Pedro Jiménez, the murderer Rosa Peral, the murderer Juan Francisco López, as well as Félix Millet and Jordi Montull, who ended up behind bars after being convicted of the Palau-Millet case, have passed through the Brians 1 Penitentiary Center.
As for the Brians 2 Penitentiary Center, the most recognized inmate is John McAfeethe prominent businessman and computer programmer.
In addition to housing cells, both centers have information classrooms, libraries, occupational workshops, multipurpose rooms, a nurse, and a patio, among other facilities.
