The return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 is one of the news that shocked the MCU, and the Australian finally reveals his first thoughts upon seeing the first tape of the Merc with a Mouth
One of the news that shocked fans of mutants in 2022 was the announcement of the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the Deadpool 3 plot, for which the Australian already has some ideas.
Don’t Miss: This Got Out of Control! Hugh Jackman returns as Wolverine in Deadpool 3
As SMASH informed you in a timely manner, it was confirmed last October that Deadpool 3 will include Hugh Jackman in his return as Wolverine.
Through his social networks Hugh Jackman shared a video, where through a video call he revealed his first thoughts when in 2016 he was able to see Deadpool on the big screen.
“To be honest, within 20 minutes of the Deadpool movie all I saw was 48 hours with Eddie Murhy and Nick Nolte… I was (like) ‘fuck! damn it! what did I do? What did I do?… You said no, but that’s all, (the decision) has been made’”
Jackman pointed out in previous weeks that on one of the rest days of his concert tour around the world, he was a key factor in encouraging himself to return as Wolverine.
“I was driving to the beach. It was mid-August, I had a week off from the show (The Music Man on Broadway), my first week off in eight, nine months, 10 months. And it occurred to me. like, “I really want to do that.” And that was it”.
In Deadpool 3, screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick return to put together the plot of this new installment, in what will be the first Marvel Studios film that would be classified for adults only.
The filming of this film, directed by Shawn Levy, could start in the course of 2023, with a cast still to be defined, in the first film of the character created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, now for Marvel Studios.
With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman leading the cast, Deadpool 3 will be released on November 8, 2024, closing phase five of the MCU.
