Spending the summer in Madrid is hard: suffocating heat, overheated asphalt, few hours a day in which you can live outdoors or without an air conditioner on… However, although the capital does not have a coastline, it offers some aquatic alternatives. However, it cannot be left out of this list. Bolarque beach. It is located in the province of Guadalajara but only 100 kilometers away from Madrid, which translates into an hour and a half by car.
A beach paradise in the middle of the Castilian plateau is what the beach located in the Bolarque reservoir is. Famous for its clean and crystal clear waters, it is perfect not only for swimming and sunbathing. It is also a place where play water sports such as paddle surfing, kayaking, or taking a ride on a pedalo.
