“Everyone was shaking. I don’t think there were heaters,” he collected the sun in some of his statements.
“They gave us two thermals, two socks, a T-shirt, some sneakers and a green tracksuit,” a contestant told the British newspaper.
The reality show is filmed in top secret at Cardington Studios, in the UK. For this, Netflix brought together 456 applicants to compete for 4.56 million dollars in a series of games inspired by the South Korean production The Squid Game.
The accusations made by the contestants point out that during the filming of the first game, “Red Light, Green Light” in which the contestants should remain immobile for a long time, several of them began to feel bad due to the freezing temperatures, among which they note a participant was removed on a stretcher from the site.
Netflix reacted to the accusations through a statement in which it ensures that its production applies the appropriate security protocols for all those involved.
“Netflix, Studio Lambert and The Garden take the care of collaborators as one of their main priorities. All contestants were prepared by production several weeks ago that they would play a game in cold conditions and participated knowing this,” the letter states.
“All precautions were taken to ensure that the game was played safely,” argues the production house.
