Although in the United States they have such strange practices in the eyes of a Spaniard like me as that of take to the street everything that they no longer want so that others can take itthere is something that TikTok has taught us and that has slipped into the first place of rarities.
We talk about Weirdest supermarket in the world, located in Las Vegas and that a Spanish woman, Sandra, with more than 2.5 million followers on TikTok (@aquisandrax) has taught us.
A surreal supermarket that seems to come out of a science fiction movie and where we will find products as crazy as square peas or a cleaning product that is actually liquid butter.
The craziest supermarket in America
The video begins with Sandra explaining that in the United States there is a supermarket that pretends that there has been a short circuit in reality and everything is “kind of weird” in her own words. But as she progresses her foray into this place, it seems more like she’s out of stranger things.
Lettuce flip-flops, a corn drilling machine, some square-shaped peas, some salted peanuts but no peanuts (just salt), a mortadella with painted works of art, some carrots doing sports and an endless number of products that blow our minds. head and that can be bought. AND between shelves and shelves full of crazy products, we find secret passages and tunnels that take us to rooms where nothing is what it seems, as if we had changed dimensions with Dr. Strange from Marvel hand in hand
😱The RAREEST supermarket in the world🤯

What is this Las Vegas supermarket really?
This supermarket is actually an immersive work of art. In fact, it is a project created by Emily Montoya and Benji Geary, two of the founding members of Meow Wolfa community that began in 2008 as a small collective of artists from Santa Fe who shared an interest in showing their works publicly and developing their skills together, and who is now an expert in creating immersive and maximalist environments like this Omega Mart that is so amazing for us it has seemed.
A surreal supermarket that may look like a grocery store but hides inside a psychedelic universe full of tunnels and secret rooms and which is, according to its creators, “a social critique of our dependence on consumerism.”
With four thematic areas and more than 60 different environments, this “supermarket” is located in the AREA 15 art complex, omega martat 3215 S. Rancho Drive and it’s a real pot trip just as Sandra has taught us.
Omega Mart has been open for two years and with each visit you will be able to discover something new. It’s all so crazy that they have even created advertisements that look like those of a real supermarket, although our favorite is undoubtedly the one with a vintage aesthetic. And the best thing is that it can be visited if you buy the entrance here.
Now I want to go to the United States so much that to calm my longing I’m going to have to go to one of these places that seem to come from the USA, but are in Spain.
