For his part, in a tweet of alleged gifts to the production of Wakanda Forever, he would show the Mexican roots of the Namor of the MCU: “A look at some of the gifts to the staff of BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER, which include a hoodie and a hat featuring Tepeyollotl, the Aztec jaguar god… Previous rumors have indicated that the culture and designs of Namor and the Atlanteans will be based on Aztec/Mayan cultures!”

There are also sites that claim that Namor will be inspired by Mexican culture
Finally, the Brazilian film site Chippu, gives the following information as official:
“The character will not originate from Atlantis, as in the comics, but from the Central American region and will come from a historical and underwater city of Mexican culture. In addition, he will be the son of a human with a queen of the submerged town -Tenoch Huerta will play the character who will also be accompanied by a royal guard-. The change should come about so audiences don’t confuse Namor with Aquaman, a character who has a nearly identical origin in the comics: he’s half human, half Atlantean, and rules Atlantis. Having two characters with identical origins would complicate the audience’s understanding.”
And he continues with the information about the character: “Namor will be an important part of the film and will ask for the help of Wakanda to keep his town hidden from humans since they have begun to find the place from a new technology created by Riri Williams, the future Ironheart. Namor’s uniform, as Chippu has also confirmed, will be inspired by the traditional look and will focus on simple shorts and few frills like the more modern versions. Lastly, Chippu can confirm that a great battle will take place between Wakanda and the people of Namor.”
