Everything indicates that generation Z is revolutionizing the rules of love and the way we fall in love, and according to Tinder, the most famous dating platform, the rules are changing drastically.
These are the rules that generation Z follows when falling in love
Recently, Tinder revealed a report where it revealed the characteristics that boys between the ages of 18 and 25 (generation Z) were looking for when looking for love.
And you will be surprised to discover that the most important thing for them is that that special person has good emotional stability and that they put their mental health as a priority.
“80% of 18-25 year olds agree that taking care of themselves is their top priority when dating, and 79% want their potential partners to do the same.
Even more interesting, about 75% of young singles say they find a partner more attractive if they are open to working on their mental well-being.”
What is generation Z looking for in a partner?
However, mental health is not the only requirement that you must meet, as this generation is concerned about having a partner with values:
- Loyalty with 79%
- Respect with 78%
- Open minded 61%
Paul Brunson, Tinder’s global relations expert, noted that the attitude of “’take it or leave it’… They are okay to get out of any situation if it means being true to themselves”.
Do you care about physique?
It turns out that this generation does not care as much about the physique as the aforementioned values, since only 56% are concerned about having an attractive partner.
“80% of Tinder members surveyed say they have dated someone of a different ethnicity. When asked about dating someone with a disability or neurodivergence, half agreed they would be open to it. Additionally, 66% of those surveyed agree that Tinder allows them to date more people outside of their circle of friends or connect them with someone they might never otherwise have met in their everyday life.”
