What’s new for Disney Live Action
Sean Bailey, president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production (Disney Live Action), presented the list and some previews of the great productions that will be in “flesh and bone.”
Hocus Pocus 2
Its original protagonists: Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy return with this story of 17th century witches who will always be 29 years old.
It will premiere on September 30 ahead of the Halloween holidays exclusively on Disney +.
disenchanted
Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma Mays headline this fairytale musical comedy after 15 years after Giselle (Adams) and Robert (Dempsey) married and living happily ever after in a suburb, but things are not as easy as they seem.
Peter Pan & Wendy
Alexander Molony (Peter Pan), Ever Anderson (Wendy), Alyssa Wapanâtahk (Tiger Lily) and Captain Hook or “Garfio” as we knew him in Latin America: Jude Law. This story will follow Wendy’s life as she bonds with the boy who refuses to grow up in the world of “Neverland” and reveals the history of feud between Peter Pan and the famous villain.
Among other details that were revealed was the production of Mufasa, movie based on the lion king, a prequel to how Simba’s father comes to his position, as well as his relationship with Scar. This will be released until 2024. Haunted Mansion It will also have a live action version that is shaping up to be a great bet in a more “dark” and comical area for Disney.
The big reveal is the presentation of Snow White, in which Gal Gadot will be the evil stepmother and the queen. “I love being a villain and more one like her who became a reference for all evil,” Gadot said during her speech at D23 Expo. Rachel Zegler will be the protagonist who falls poisoned by an apple. “Being part of a story that is renewed generates a lot of emotion in me, I already want to see how all this turns out, I would love to be on your side (the public) and wait for it to arrive,” commented the young Zegler.
