Last night was the first semifinal of the ‘Benidorm Fest 2023’, in which half of the contestants played their place in the final that will decide who represents Spain in Eurovision. Finally, they are Agoney, Alice Wonder, Fusa Nocta and Megara the contestants who pass to the next phase.

The first semifinal of the ‘Benidorm Fest’ had the first half of the candidates last night: agoney with ‘I want to burn’, Alice Wonder with ‘I would like’, Fusa Nocta with my family’, Megara with ‘Arcadia’, Aritz Aren with ‘Flamenco’, Sharonne with air’, meler with ‘They won’t move us’, Twin Melody with ‘Sayonara’ and Sofia Martin with ‘Tuki’.
Of all of them, Agoney emerged as the favorite of the professional jury and the televoting with 161 votes. They are followed with some distance by Alice Wonder (119), Fusa Nocta (118) and Megara (111). These four will be the artists who will face the other semifinalists in the Grand Final.
The rest of the contestants has been left out of the top 4 and will not go to the next phase of the festival: Aritz Aren (107), Sharonne (87), Meler (84), Twin Melody (77) and Sofía Martín (48).
This Thursday, February 2, the second semifinal will take place at 10:50 p.m. on La 1. We will see the performances of the second half of the candidates: Alfred García, Blanca Paloma, E’Femme, Famous, José Otero, Karmento, Rakky, Siderland and Vicco. Four of them will qualify for the Grand Final on Saturday, February 4.
