Netflix has finally made official what we all knew was going to happen: the series ‘Blockbuster’ has been canceled and will not have a second season. Taking into account the enormous failure that it had at its premiere, the strange thing has been that it has taken so long to get rid of it, since it was released more than a month ago.
In this way we can say that Netflix has been uploaded for the second time Blockbuster, because at the time it already played a fundamental role in the collapse of the company. Now the play of using it in a nostalgic way in his new and failed attempt to find his ‘The Office’ has not gone well either.
Created by Vanessa Ramos, writer of several episodes of ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and ‘Superstore’, the series told a fictionalized version of the last open store of Blockbuster. Unfortunately, the reviews were devastating and the public did not show any interest in it either.
For me, I was encouraged to watch a couple of episodes and I perfectly understand their failure. It is true that many sitcoms take time to find themselves, but currently that is a luxury that very few can afford and it was fatal in the case of ‘Blockbuster’. And it is that there was not even something in their characters that left you wanting to know more about them…
