‘Rennervations‘ by Jeremy Renner will premiere on Disney+ just three months after being critically injured in a snowplow accident. The four-episode original series debuts on April 12 on the platform, This isn’t a fictional series, but Renner and his team of expert builders use their skills to reimagine the utility of off-road vehicles.
A passion come true
Renner rebuild old vehicles into awesome creations that serve communities around the world, according to the actor:
“I have been on this journey for many years and started in my community building vehicles for people in need. But a few years ago, I thought, how can I add this and create a bigger impact on an entire community? And that’s what this program does. This is one of my greatest passions and is a driving force in my recovery, and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
Renner is a construction veteran with a passion for buying and reimagining massive vehicles with the help of his connections in global manufacturing culture. With his best friend and business partner, Rory Millikin, and an all-star construction crew, Renner travels the globe to reimagine decommissioned vehicles and rebuild them to serve a new purposesuch as converting a tour bus to a mobile music studio, a delivery truck to a mobile water treatment facility, a shuttle bus to a mobile recreation center or another urban to a mobile dance studio.
Along the way, Renner is joined by his ‘Avengers’ partner the Falcon, actor-producer Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Hudgens, actor-producer Anil Kapoor and singer-songwriter Sebastián Yatra, who share Renner’s enthusiasm and join him in delivering the finished vehicles to each organization. ‘Rennervations’ takes Renner around the world from his hometown of Reno, Nevada to Chicago, Illinois, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Rajasthan, India. At each location, Renner and Millikin connect with leading organizations to learn the needs of local communities, and then use that information to build something that will have a big impact.
