The father of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer is considering suing Netflix over two of his hit series about his infamous son. Lionel Dahmer, 86, is upset that he was never contacted about the popular series ‘DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ (Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story), which premiered on the platform in September, its caretaker told the US Sun.

The Milwaukee butcher’s father was also upset that Netflix never asked him for permission to use recordings of his son’s legal team used in Netflix’s other Jeffrey Dahmer docuseries like ‘Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes‘, which was released earlier this month. Both series have sparked a renewed fascination with Dahmer, who killed 17 boys and men between 1978 and 1991. What’s more, he’s become so popular in light of the new shows that people are dressing as him for Halloween.
Lionel Dahmer has been living in rural Ohio. It is stated that he is in a “wreck of nerves” as the “fans” of your son have shown up on your property, so he would have decided to arm himself to protect himself given the sudden madness. According to his caregiver:
“From all that I have personally seen and witnessed, Lionel was not contacted about any of these shows on Netflix. I’ve talked to a few lawyers personally and we’ve also talked to his editor about it because of all the chaos that’s going on and the stories we’ve seen. Lionel and his manager are gathering information and discussing a possible lawsuit against the production team or possibly Netflix. There was no kind of tact or concern for Lionel’s well-being.”

Lionel Dahmer published his memoir, ‘A Father’s Story’, about Jeffrey Dahmer in 1994, just a few months before Dahmer was beaten to death in prison by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver. In the book, he recounts how he had no idea his son was a murderer prior to his arrest.
“Lionel was a very loving father. He was just trying to make the best of it in a time of uncertainty, he said. He thinks none of this should have been done, all the information that needs to be made public is right there in his book. Everything else he’s glamorous and pays attention to details that aren’t proven facts. When I asked Lionel what he wanted me to tell people, he said, ‘Everything I have to say is in my book.’ But that’s all he says “.
