This past weekend the D23 of Disney in which the studio presented countless novelties, but not all of them reached the general public. One of the juiciest that remains unpublished is the first trailer for ‘Indiana Jones 5’ that could be seen there, since confirmed the return of a mythical character and announced the official title of Harrison Ford’s latest adventure as the legendary archaeologist.
The old acquaintance who returns in the fifth installment of the saga is John Rhys Davies like Sallah, a character we could already see both in ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ and ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’. A long-awaited return from an actor who is also very popular for having played Gimli in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy.
Regarding the title, a simple approach has been chosen, since the film it’s going to be titled simply ‘Indiana Jones’. It is not the first time that a major franchise has opted for such a solution -remember, for example, the case of ‘Jason Bourne’-, but it is still curious that this has been chosen.
For its part, Ford was very pleased with the resultbecause during the presentation he commented that “I am very proud to say that it is a fantastic film and that Phoebe Waller-Bridge is one of the reasons“And he was so moved when addressing the public that he even ended up crying…
The premiere of ‘Indiana Jones 5’ is scheduled for June 30, 2023. By the way, we can now prepare ourselves for some nods to previous deliveries, because at the end of the preview presented at D23 we see a nod to a legendary gag with Indy facing some criminals with his whip who threaten him with firearms.
