The exit Meghan Markle and Harry from the United Kingdom was involved in controversy and rumors, one of which has to do with threats against her.
The head of the anti-terrorism division of the British police, Neil Basu, assured that the former actress suffered “disgusting” death threats from racist groups.
“If you had seen the things they wrote and the things I received, the kind of speech what was on the internet, if you didn’t know what I know, you would feel in danger all the time,” Basu said.
The police chief admitted that during his tenure he dealt with credible far-right threats against the Duchess of Sussex. “We had teams to investigate them and there were people prosecuted for those warnings,” he added.

The warnings they extended to her husband, Prince Harry, for marrying her. The statements were made as part of an interview with the British channel Channel 4.
This reinforces Harry’s expressed fears for the safety of his wife and family. One of his statements includes pressure from the British tabloid press and a hostile environment towards Meghan.
