With two successful seasons, including the second still on the air, the show will have a third season, so there are still stories to write with Superman and Lois.

As SMASH informed you in a timely manner, Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters will write the script for Val Zod, a Kryptonian alien. Like Kal-El and Kara Zor-El, Val-Zod makes it to earth, but is locked away under Arkham Asylum.
Calvin Ellis: Superman
Warner Bros and DC Comics have entrusted producer JJ Abrams and writer Ta-Nehisi Coates with a new project to reboot the Superman mythology on film. Although in this new version, the Man of Steel will be African American.
This Superman has characteristics of the late boxer Muhammad Ali, and despite his importance, in the comics Calvin Ellis is the third black Superman, only followed by the Sunshine Superman and the Superman of Earth D.
