Among the barrage of news that, day in and day out, the people of Marvel Studios announce to continue inflating the superhero bubble of their MCU, you may have forgotten —or not— the existence of ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’; the spinoff series of ‘Scarlet Witch and Vision’ centered on the charismatic character of Agatha Harkness.
The family grows
Well, just over a year after the project was announced, the production for Disney + continues to take shape while expanding its cast. A cast that, of course, will have Kathryn Hahn repeating as the leading sorceress, and who has just joined Caulfield Ford, Joe Locke already one Aubrey Plaza who seems to have taken a liking to this thing about comic book adaptations.
Let us remember that Plaza participated in that wonder entitled ‘Scott Pilgrim against the world’ giving life to Julie Powers under the orders of Edgar Wright for, seven years later, immerse yourself for the first time in a license of The House of Ideas with FX’s spectacular ‘Legion’, in which he did a double playing Lenore Busker and Shadow King.
‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’, which is supervised by ‘Scarlet Witch and Vision’ screenwriter Jac Schaeffer, will be released at a time yet to be determined in the winter of the cathodic season 2023/2024 —presumably in the Christmas campaign—, in the middle of Phase 5. In addition, also under Schaeffer’s gaze, another spinoff is in the works focused on Vision under the title of ‘Vision Quest’.
