Sony and Rtve have presented the powerful trailer for ‘Siege’, the director’s new film Miguel Angel Vivas starring the winner of two Goya Awards, and three times nominated, Natalia de Molina. An action thriller that, like Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s series, stars riot police and It will be released in theaters on May 5 distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia.

What is being Spanish? Dani is very clear about it. In his case it is to serve his country as a riot police, to honor his flag. Enforce the Law. He always thought that being a policeman was a way to protect people, to do justice. But during an eviction in a troubled neighborhood in Madrid, Dani will come across hidden money, a plot of police corruption and a crime that will make him have to flee for his life in a hostile territory, where he does not know the language, it is well received and its authority is worthless. He will only be able to count on the help of Nasha, a young Nigerian whom he has just evicted, and her son Little. And that’s when he realizes that if the system he works for isn’t the solution, maybe it was always part of the problem.
Along with De Molina, is the actress Bella Agossou in the role of Nasha and a cast headed by the newcomer Oscar Eribo, and the actors Francisco Reyes, Fran Cantos, Chani Martín, Jorge Kent, Efraín Rodríguez, Lucas Nabor, Federico Pérez Rey, Luis Hacha, Fernando Valdivielso, Karlos Aurrekoetxea and Alejandro Casaseca. Marta Medina (screenwriter and film critic) is in charge of the script based on an original idea by Vivas and José Rodríguez and inspired by real events.
‘siege’ is produced by Enrique Lopez Lavigne for Apache Filmsin association with Sony Pictures International Productions and co-produced by Mexico City Project (Mexico), with the participation of RTVE and Prime Video. Its premiere in cinemas throughout Spain is scheduled for next year 2022 by sony and, after its passage through theaters, the film will be available on Prime Video.
